CORRAL Riding Academy is dedicated to empowering students with the transformative power of education. We aim to provide the necessary support our students need to achieve academic and career success. At CORRAL, 77% of our participants have matriculated into college. We are committed to increasing this number.
Recently, we took a group of students to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University. Stepping foot on their campus and experiencing the atmosphere first-hand provides a sense of belonging and encouragement.
NC A&T’s 492-acre farm is home to the Equine Unit. Our girls got to interact with faculty members, tour the stables, and learn about the various programs offered. Their main goal is to attract more horse enthusiasts – perfect for us! The Equine Unit served as a tangible representation of the intersection between academic excellence and personal interests, showing our girls that pursuing higher education does not mean sacrificing their passions.
For many of our girls, when they first entered either of our programs, college seemed like an unattainable goal. We are privileged to be able to provide these types of opportunities for our girls. They are a reminder that their past does not dictate their future and that with dedication and support, they can pursue higher education and follow their passions.
