Fall on the Farm: A Heartwarming Day of Service

Volunteers working during Fall on the Farm.

A heartwarming day
of laughter, teamwork, and purpose

Our community day of service, Fall on the Farm, was a great success! Bringing together volunteers, supporters, and our beloved rescue horses for a day filled with love, care, and creativity. As we look back on this remarkable event, we are excited to share the heartwarming moments and impactful experiences that made it truly special.

Volunteers  (affectionately referred to as CORRAL champions) of all ages gathered to unleash their creativity and emotions on canvases during the barn quilt painting activity. The process allowed for self-expression and artistic exploration. It was a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of art, both as a form of therapy and as a means of connecting with your inner self. The quilts, which now adorn our barn, add a vibrant splash of color to our farm and also represent the unique stories and emotions of each volunteer. These beautiful creations serve as a constant reminder of the community’s love and commitment.

Beyond the creative art projects and heartwarming interactions with the horses, our volunteers dedicated themselves to enhancing our farm. Their efforts translated into tangible improvements, creating a safe and serene environment that fosters growth and learning for both the youth and the horses.  CORRAL champions rolled up their sleeves to repair fences, beautify the landscape, and ensure farm facilities are in top condition.

One essential task for every farm is cleaning and maintaining horse saddles. Our Champions didn’t hesitate to get their hands dirty, quite literally, as they meticulously cleaned and polished the saddles used for riding our rescue horses. The care and attention given to the saddles ensure the safety and comfort of both the girls and the horses during their therapeutic riding sessions and also reflects the dedication of our community to every aspect of our farm. It was a wonderful reminder that even the smallest acts of service contribute significantly to the overall well-being of our equine companions and the youth we support.

Community Farm Days are about more than just physical farm work; it is a day of connection, community, and transformation. Every act of kindness and support contributes to the healing and empowerment of the youth we serve. Through shared laughter, shared responsibilities, and shared moments, our community comes together to make a meaningful impact. The sense of purpose and togetherness that filled the air this day was palpable, reminding us we are all part of something bigger.

With your continued support, we look forward to more heartwarming days like these. Days when we can continue to nurture our farm and, in turn, nurture the spirits of those we serve. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
